Founded on April 29, 2004 and situated in the No.12 Guangyao Building, Third Xinfeng Road, Torch High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Xiamen, Xiamen Taihang Technology Co., Ltd. (Taihang) has a registered capital of RMB5 million and a plant area of more than 6,000m2. It is a high-tech enterprise enjoying the support of the government of Xiamen.

Taihang is mainly engaged in the R&D and manufacturing of lightning-proof products and the total solutions regarding lightning protection and electromagnetic pulse protection and its businesses cover the provision of special products for the lightning protection, electromagnetic pulse protection, lightning warning, lightning information recording and lighting protection systems in fields such as petroleum, chemical, national defense, communication, high-speed railway and so on. It has successfully applied 3 invention patents and 22 utility model patents. It is a practice base for postgraduate students from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. As a high-tech enterprise, Taihang has a research team made up of researchers regarding computer software development, SCM application, communication technologies, lightning protection technologies, electromagnetic pulse protection technologies, mechanical technologies and so on and has established a in-depth technical cooperation relationship with Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology and Jiangxi Vocational and Technical College of Information Application, forming great ability of new product development and technical innovations. Taihang has assisted Jiangxi Vocational and Technical College of Information Application in setting up a practice laboratory studying lightning protection for communication.

Taihang passed the ISO9000 certification in 2009 and was selected as a growing SME of Xiamen and the office of the Beijing Test Center for Lightning Protection Devices in Xiamen in 2010. The products developed by Taihang have passed UL, TUV, CE and EXi certifications. Taihang has an advanced lightning-proof product laboratory able to realize surface microscopic analyses, metallographic analyses, mechanical pendulum impacts and hardness tests for products and materials and overall tests regarding inserting and pulling forces, pressure sensitive element tolerance capacity, TOV fault, transportation vibrations, lightning impacts, tripping, withstand voltage, low temperatures, voltage sags, static, near-end crosstalk, spectrum analysis, low-frequency conduction and electrical fast transient for lightning-proof products.

After seven years of development, Taihang has formed a complete hardware support system for lightning protection systems, established divisions regarding electrical engineering, lightning protection, electronics and instruments and successfully developed static lightning early warning electric field test systems, lightning early warning automatic hoisting and lightning arresting systems, intelligent lightning information recorders, lightning peak recorders, intelligent ESE lightning arresters with an information recording function, automatic reclosers against the trip of miniature circuit breakers (small air switches), signal lightning arresters with both failure trip and display functions, railway EMU substation data recorders and some other products. The products have been successfully applied in the lightning protection systems of major national and international customers and have shown great performance.
